Schiller Bräu

The area around the main railway station in Munich is renowned for the diversity of its ethnic and cultural groups. You can find Indian computer stores side by side with Turkish doner kebab stands and Iranian carpet dealers. Since the end of 2017 this multicultural district in the heart of theBavarian capital has a colourful addition: the SCHILLER BRÄU in Schillerstr. 23, which now contributes a dab of Bavarian culture to the neighbourhood.

Operation of the 10hl CASPARY system in copper with traditional open fermentation is in the competent hands of the brewer Julian Lindner. In addition to the classic types of Bavarian beer the brewery also offers a range of special beers that change regularly and go under such illustrious names as “Gamsbart” (“Chamois beard”) or “Dorfratschn”(“Village gossip”). The light beer “Schep`s”is especially popular. The managing couple Kristina and Ninja Höfler place great importance on a relaxed and informal atmosphere, a fact you can really feel.

Great time and effort went into the design of the pub and the planning of the brewery at SCHILLERBRÄU. The locality demanded a certain degree of creativity of us to achieve perfect work ergonomicsand an appealing design. The high rents in Munich made optimum use of space essential for the system and as a consequence all tanks are custom-built and adapted to the low ceilings and “wacky” layout of the old cellar. Solving such problems is exactly what sets CASPARY GmbH apart, in addition to the uncompromising quality of our breweries, of course: we develop and realise complete solutions for just such difficult conditions.

This was not the first time that the Lindner Group, as the parent company of Schiller Bräu, had worked together with CASPARY. Together we have already realised several successful brewery projects in Germany. Good beer, good food, a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service – that is the recipe for a successful pub.
